Genome-Wide Identification of Laccase Gene Family from Punica granatum and Functional Analysis towards Potential Involvement in Lignin Biosynthesis

چکیده
Laccase (LAC) is the key enzyme responsible for lignin biosynthesis. Here, 57 PgLACs from pomegranate were identified and distributed on eight chromosomes one unplaced scaffold. They divided into six groups containing three typical Cu-oxidase domains. Totally, 51 cis-acting elements in promoter region of are involved response to ABA, GA, light, stress, etc., indicating diverse functions PgLACs. The expression profiles 13 during seed development stage showed that most expressed at a higher level earlier than later two cultivars except PgLAC4. Also, PgLAC1/6/7/16 significantly soft-seed ‘Tunisia’; contrary, PgLAC37 PgLAC50 with hard-seed ‘Taishanhong’. Combined their distinguishing elements, it was concluded PgLAC1/6/7 may respond GA via TATC-box GARE-motif, PgLAC16 repressed promotor activity embryo mid-maturation genes RY-element so as contribute softer formation, whereas PgLAC37/50 participate formation accelerate maturity ABRE G-box elements. Collectively, dramatic gene expressions PgLAC1/6/7/16/37/50 will provide valuable information explore soft- pomegranate.

Functional Analysis of a Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) MYB Transcription Factor Involved in the Regulation of Anthocyanin Biosynthesis
Background: Pomegranate fruit (Punica granatum L.) is a rich source of anthocyanin pigments resulting in vibrant colours and anti-oxidant contents. Although the intensity and pattern of anthocyanin biosynthesis in fruit are strongly influenced by R2R3-MYB transcription factors, little is known about the regulation and role of MYB in anthocyanin pathway of pomegranate. Objectives: The present st...
متن کاملGenome-Wide Identification, Expression, and Functional Analysis of the Alkaline/Neutral Invertase Gene Family in Pepper
Alkaline/neutral invertase (NINV) proteins irreversibly cleave sucrose into fructose and glucose, and play important roles in carbohydrate metabolism and plant development. To investigate the role of NINVs in the development of pepper fruits, seven NINV genes (CaNINV1-7) were identified. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the CaNINV family could be divided into α and β groups. CaNINV1-6 had ty...
متن کاملGenome-wide identification, functional analysis and expression profiling of the Aux/IAA gene family in tomato.
Auxin is a central hormone that exerts pleiotropic effects on plant growth including the development of roots, shoots, flowers and fruit. The perception and signaling of the plant hormone auxin rely on the cooperative action of several components, among which auxin/indole-3-acetic acid (Aux/IAA) proteins play a pivotal role. In this study, we identified and comprehensively analyzed the entire A...
متن کاملGenome-wide analysis and functional identification of the annexin gene family in maize (Zea mays L.)
Annexins have previously been identified and characterized in Arabidopsis and rice. They compose a multigene family in plants. In this study, we indicated the isolation and characterization of maize annexin genes across a whole genome using bioinformatics, microarray and real-time PCR methods. A total of 12 members of this family were identified in the maize genome. The 12 maize annexins were d...

The single-celled cotton fibers, produced from seed coat epidermal cells are the largest natural source of textile fibers. The economic value of cotton fiber lies in its length and quality. The multifunctional laccase enzymes play important roles in cell elongation, lignification and pigmentation in plants and could play crucial role in cotton fiber quality. Genome-wide analysis of cultivated a...
